Habitab ("App", "we", "our", or "us") is a mobile app operated by an independent app developer for habit tracking, personal growth, focus, and a virtual pet experience. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use Habitab, how it is used, and what choices you have.

We use information only as needed to provide, secure, and improve Habitab. This may include:

• Creating and managing your account and sign-in experience
• Saving your habits, goals, progress, and app preferences
• Personalizing the app experience and companion features
• Sending notifications that you enable

• Verifying purchases and subscriptions when applicable

4. Data Storage and Retention

Habitab may store data locally on your device. When you sign in, use cloud backup/sync, or use account features, some data may also be stored on our servers or trusted cloud infrastructure.

Passwords are not stored in plain text. Industry-standard authentication and encryption/hashing practices are used for account security.

Account data is generally retained while your account is active. When you request account deletion, associated account data and user-generated content are deleted after the request is completed. Certain transaction, security, or legally required records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

5. Third-Party Services

Habitab uses trusted third-party services for app operation, sign-in, notifications, crash reporting, analytics, and purchase verification. These may include Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Sign-In, OneSignal, Google Play Services, and related app store services.

• Firebase Authentication: account creation, sign-in, and authentication
• Firebase Analytics: usage insights and app improvement
• Firebase Crashlytics: crash and error reporting
• OneSignal: push notifications
• Google Play and App Store: purchases and subscription processing

These services may process limited technical information under their own privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

Habitab does not intentionally collect personal information from children. The app may apply age-appropriate content and feature restrictions. Minimum age and parental consent rules depend on the user's jurisdiction.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Cycle Tracking and Sensitive Information

Cycle tracking is optional. If you enable it, the related information is used only to provide the selected feature and is treated as sensitive personal information. You can disable the feature at any time. When your account deletion is completed, associated cycle tracking data is deleted with the rest of your account data, subject to legally required retention.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account from within the Habitab app or request deletion by contacting info@habitab.tech. Account data and user-generated content associated with the account are deleted when the request is completed. Certain transaction, security, or legally required records may be retained for the period required by law.

11. Policy Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When significant changes are made, the updated text will be published in the app with a revised "Last Updated" date.
